Mary Maureeen enjoyed the opportunity to participate in the Chicago Cabaret Professionals’ Holiday Gala. It was a pleasure to work with Jeff Roscoe, our musical director for the evening. We had a sold out house and the proceeds went to Teen Living Program. If you haven’t been to one of our gala’s, please be sure to watch the date for our 2008 event.

Marsha Gilmore is a happy housewife who happens to be obsessed with murder mysteries. The laughs begin when Marsha over hears her husband, Tobias, discussing her upcoming birthday surprise. To her ears it sounds like they are planning her murder! With the help of her next door neighbor, Virgil, she tries to turn the tables on them, resulting in further misunderstandings. This is a terrific show for family audiences who like their comedy broad and fast and nonstop.

The Taffeta’s musical cast was played by Amanda Ragan as Kaye, Kelli Kubicki as Donna, Corinne Alexander as Cheryl, and Mary Maureen as Peggy.

2nd Annual Lung Cancer Walk

Many came out to support this cause…Lung Cancer Awareness. Victims, Survivors and Friends raised funds to help in the research of lung cancer with hopes that one day we’ll find a cure. I had the honor of being the official photographer for the event and am pictured below with my dad Joe in my big red poofy coat.

MMG “Support The Troops” Rally

The Canaryville Veterans Association sponsored a “Support Our Troops” Rally on Sunday, August 29. I had the honor of performing GOD BLESS AMERICA. Our Secretary of State, Jesse White, kicked off the event and there were a number of officers and speakers who shared their heartfelt message. Channel 7 provided coverage, and to lead off the walk we had about 30 bikers came out to show their support. It was a great afternoon and I sure learned one thing…CANARYVILLE SUPPORTS THEIR OWN!

The Rally was held at The Victory Garden, 44th & Wallace, Chicago.

Western Springs Gathering On The Green

The month of June was a crazy one, but certainly filled with many activities. I spent a majority of my time at the Theatre of Western Springs this past month in workshops. As well, our theatre participated in Western Spring’s GATHERING ON THE GREEN so I had fun working that event with my friend Cheri Campbell (pictured below).
